Error has occured. Press and hold the power button to turn off

can you all help me please........because i can't play games on my dsi xl,my card was r4i pocket and it's firmware was 7. idon't know........when i open the card on dsi xl it says that "an error has occured.press and hold the power button to turn the system off.please see the nintendo dsi for help troubleshooting.....because i update the system because i want to buy a game on dsi shop please help me if you know how to fix ......i want you all to help me

If I am reading this correctly. Your DSi functions correctly except when you put your r4i card in the slot. You will need to go to the support web site for your r4i card to see if there is an update for it's firmware to get around your DSi's new firmware. Follow their instructions there for how to update the card, if one is available.

If there isn't new firmware for your r4i card to get around the DSi's new firmware, you will need to wait for them to put one out or buy another media card that works with the DSi firmware. Until then you can enjoy the games you have paid for.

The error message is due to the DS being updated to later firmware. The R4i no longer operates correctly as a result. To correct the issue, find an earlier DS or DSlite and flash the R4i card with the latest kernel. The file appears to be a game on the R4i menu. Select it and let the flash run until complete.

This should fix the issue.

How the DSi got updated is a mystery, unless its automatic while on-line. Mine has done the same thing. My son was playing, he shut off the game and returned to it later. This error appeared.

I have a Nintendo DS lite from 2006 and i tried to use my Evolution card it’s a white card with a micro card in it. I tried a lot of times but it kept showing a white screen- and when i took out the card while my DS was on it showed the loading bar for one sec and then the upper screen was black and the lower screen white- It once fully loaded and it said: FATAL ERROR: invalid region
