@jamesfrantz11 That looks an awful lot like 1 completely failed LED strip, and one on the way out. If you shine a flashlight at an angle, on the right side (where the black ”stripe” is), in a darkened room, do you see shapes/shadows corresponding to what should be there? It will be very faint, but should be discernible. If the answer is yes, you have a LED backlight that’s about to fail and will need to be replaced.

Unfortunately, a lot of TV manufacturers use sub par parts, especially on the backlight, which makes them the first to fail. If it’s the case, it’s not super hard to replace them, but will require a little bit of space and time. We can help find the parts, if we can confirm it’s the backlight strips.

Yes I do she the right shapes. Also keep in mind that for some reason this happened before and fixed itself somehow and most recently it had the black stripe in the middle and then recently changed and moved the the car right side. I don’t know if this is important information but I just thought I’d let you know as I find it pretty weird

@jamesfrantz11 sometimes they can do that. If they have not totally failed or if the failure is on the connection between the LED and the strip they can come back on, but ultimately will permanently fail. I agree with @geirandersen 100% that this is a backlight strip failure (not that my agreement is needed :-)

@jamesfrantz11 Yep, as @oldturkey03 said, in this case the problem is in the connection to the LED strips, which in essence is the LED strips. It could be in the backlight driver circuit, so just to be sure I’d do a check with the DMM (digital multimeter) on the output to the strips. If the outputs are consistent, it’s just the strips; If not, the board could need to be diagnosed/repaired or at worst replaced.
