Why does my speaker turn on by itself?

My speaker was accidentally dropped into a sink full of water as my brother pushed pass me and it was hardly in the water for less then 5 seconds. After that the speaker when you power it off the light stays partially on and within less then 30 seconds it powers its own self back on. Its woken me up multiple times in the night as it powered on because it sometimes starts beeping like an alarm. I am unsure what to do as I just got this speaker today from eBay open box.
