Why is my console not recognising my PS5-compatible M.2. SSD?
I have a Corsair MP600 Pro LPX which I have tried installing in my PS5. I followed Corsair's own guide to install the drive (more or less identical to iFixit's guide), but when I boot up my console, the PS5 doesnt recognise that there is an SSD connected.
One issue I noticed is that there never was any "springy-ness" when the drive is connected - it just lies flat in the SSD bay.
Do I have a broken SSD-slot, a defective M.2. SSD, or have I missed something?

I have this issue as well. I have read through many forums and most people are willing to try to help. Some are very condescending. I have tried 4 different SSDs and none have worked. They all were marked as PS5 compatible. I did the whole insert at an angle thing and my PS5 would never detect the SSD. My job in the military was centered around computers and computer maintenance. I know how to install memory and what not so I am pretty confident it isn't my error. I have found that several people have this issue and yet Sony isn't doing anything about the problem. I wonder if I will have to send my PS5 in order for Sony to take a look.
