Chromebook hinge cover broken
I've had my Chromebook since June 2021, and a few days ago the plastic around the screen on the lower left (I think this is called the "hinge cover") broke, the bottom part detached from the screen (only at the left, not the entire thing) and eventually cracked completely off from the left side of the plastic. I didn't drop it, this just happened gradually I guess. At first I thought it was just cosmetic, but just now the screen flashed black for a second when I moved the computer - it isn't happening every time, in fact it hasn't happened again since, but I'm sure the issue will progress if I don't do something.
This is what I can see inside the plastic (if I angle the screen so it sticks out enough):
My question at this point is, if I made sure those little white parts on the outside were aligned right and pressed in real good, then used glue or putty or something to seal the plastic back up, would that prevent any more screen flashing or other issues with the screen itself? Can I even use those things on my computer? I don't know if the picture was clear enough, but I should be able to glue it without affecting the hinge.
