Battery cable loose after replacing battery

After replacing the battery on this phone the ribbon cable is now loose, as soon as pressure is applied from say my pants, etc, the phone just turns off until reapplying pressure. Is there an adhesive attached to the white square connector that I'm missing or what? Instructions such as YouTube guides were pretty unclear.
