Troubleshooting: any hope for defective screen+digitizer?

Hello all,

I replaced my phone screen with an iFixit screen several months ago. A few weeks ago (see my previous question), the screen abruptly stopped working. I was able to isolate the problem, so I know that the issue is with my digitizer/display, and not a different part of the phone. I don't see any physical damage to the screen or the connector cable.

I'm waiting for a replacement, but the screen is out of stock.

My question: in the meantime, is there anything I can try with this screen that might help bring it back to life? I've repeatedly tried connecting it and disconnecting it with no joy. Is there anything else I can try?
