I have the same problem. I don't believe the video Jon shared addresses the issue because your backlight is working. Did you ever figure it out?

@sethschnei57673 what is the exact model of your TV and what have you checked? No video with a backlight on, is pretty indicative of issues with either the main board, the T-con board (depending on model it could be a dedicated or and integrated board) or even the panel LCD driver.
I agree with your assumption about the previously posted answer. The OP clearly states that the backlight is turning on.

I have a 55 in TCL. The service number is 55S401TCAA. Any tips on diagnosing either board? I'd love any knowledge you could pass along.
