What would cause the LCD screen to break when putting digitizer back in place?

Did it work after you lifted it up or did you not check? If you didn’t remove the black bonding round the screw holes and tried lifting the lcd it could of flexed and got damaged that way. You have to be really careful with iPad lcds.
