Rear Wiper Arm Wont Park

my 2002 Nissan Pathfinder rear wiper wont park back into its place after running it, and when its turned off, it makes a humming sound every few seconds until i manually go to the back and put it back into its saddle/parked area. how do i fix this?

So it turns out all I needed to do was twist the arm a little bit and now it parks just fine.

The motor is most likely burnt out. That'd explain the repeated humming sound. Try replacing it.
