Epson won’t power on

The red paper feed is a solid red. It won’t turn on when power button is pressed Epson tech said it could be a blown circuitry component (Epson response below). Does anyone know which part I need to replace?

Has there been any power outages in your area recently? Have you tried connecting the printer to a different outlet? Based on the symptom the printer seems to have a blown fuse in the circuitry components.

The power cord cannot be removed so I’m assuming internal?

Hi,

Based on your description above, I will try to help.

  1. When your printer power doesn't functioned well then the red paper light won't lit. The question is when you plug the power to the AC outlet, does the power button lamp blink?
  2. When the printer plug on the AC outlet and your printer paper feed light on (when this is the case) these could be:
    • Paper feed censored malfunctioned
    • Decoder malfunctioned
    • Your e-prompt chip need to be replaced.
    • etc.
  3. Hope these will help you to detect your printer problems.
