Fix the hold close part

I’d first check whether the plastic tab itself broke or if the small spring/hinge piece just came loose.

If the tab is actually broken, the easiest repair is usually replacing the housing/locking mechanism, since gluing a stressed plastic latch often won’t hold for long. As a temporary fix, you could use a small piece of epoxy to rebuild the broken tab, but keep it away from the heated plates and moving hinge.

A photo of the broken area would make it much easier to tell what part is missing and whether it can be repaired.
