PS Vita won't turn on. Tried everything!

I haven't played on my PS Vita for years, so decided to get it out and have a go. It won't turn on. Orange charging light is on and turns to blue when i "power it up" but the screen doesn't show at all. No sound coming from it, even when I turn the volume up when it's blue light is lit up. Any ideas please? TIA

@meknoodle time to open it up and have a look at the logic board. Corrosion etc would be my first concern followed by a bad battery and power circuit. Use these guides PlayStation Vita to work on it. Post some good pictures of what you see with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see. Until we see what is going on, everything will only be a guess.
