The pay tokens are stored within the NFC chip as such the NFC chip needs to be transferred physically or if you get a virgin display, then wiping the watch like you were selling it allows you to then to swap out the display and then going through the watch’s setup process as new.

I haven’t done it that way yet so I can’t tell you if that works and it may be limited to certain models. The highest watch I’ve done is Series 3 just moving the NFC chip.
