iPhone 8+ screen onto iPhone 7+

i put iphone 8plus screen on my iphone 7 plus and cant get itunes to restore it. ive tried it on a mac and pc. could it be the motherboard or is it the screen? the ribons all lined up?

also ive tried putting into dfu on both pc and mac
