Why does my tv go off after few minutes I turned it on

LG Plasma TV 42PC7RV-TA

This Plasma 42" TV has 2 speakers (output of 200 watts) with SRS Trusurround XT. It has 100 programs or channels with features like PIP (1 tuner), auto-off, auto sound leveler and OSD. It has Dynamic contrast ratio of 10000:1 and 1500cd/m2 of brightness. It has VGA resolution of 852 x 480 pixels. This set comes with 2 Composite, 1 S-Video, 2 component video input, PC Input and 2 HDMI Inputs.

Why does my tv go off after few minutes I turned it on

When I turn on my tv, it shows a glitching multi color visual and it normalize's, then fews seconds more the tv goes blank,

All these happens in about two minutes

Please any help on this?

It sometimes come up for a while and gone off then attempt to come up with reptiting clicking sound from the relay and the standby red light

@idahosabar55362 can you explain this "glitching multi color visual and it normalize's" a bit better. The term glitching is not very descriptive to me :-) Your TV is a LG Plasma TV 42PC7RV-TA?
