How to change the headphone socket on this computer?
And is there a special series-no. for the new socket I need to be aware of when trying to find the replacement socket online or in a store.

Your in luck! While a pain to replace as you need to remove the logic board to get to the inner case area where it’s glued with hot glue iMac Intel 21.5" Retina 4K Display (2017) Logic Board Replacement (you’ll need a heat gun to soften the adhesive to get it off). Here’s the needed part 21.5” iMac Headphone Socket and Cable. I find you really need to fully clean off the old adhesive and after warming the case area and the part a fresh application of hot glue is the best way as it’s hard to mount the plate tightly to the case with the old glue present.
