Will it boot with a disconnected edge/grip sensor?

I started disassembling my pixel 3a before ordering the parts, while removing the battery one of the flex cable ripped, it is the right "edge/grip sensor flex cable".

I do not use this feature and I am wondering if the phone would boot and work if this flex cable isn't connected to the motherboard

Hi Loris! I don't think it's mandatory for the phone and that the phone does boot up fine. But I'm not 100% sure about this... Anyway, if you are looking for the part, you can find it here: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/325680322... They are cheap, so probably the best if you replace it anyway!
