Why is my scooter shutting off for 15 minutes and then coming back on

My having one journey electric scooter one's fine and will power on but as soon as you take off you can ride it for I'm not sure but you can write it pretty much until you slow down all the way and once you come to a complete stop it dies and then it won't turn back on for about 15 minutes and I'm not sure if you have to keep it still and not because it doesn't seem to turn back on unless you just let it sit so I never get back on till I get home anyways it comes right back on and then does the same thing it's just shutting down as soon as I slow down pretty much it's confusing
