I have 2 imacs late 2009. one worked one had a smashed screen. I broke the top ribbon on the working screeen. is it easy to swap the cable out from the broken screen?

The top one is called vertical sync ribbon cable which you can see in Step 5 in this guide iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2308 Display Replacement
This cable can be replaced iMac 21.5" LCD V-Sync Cable
Make sure you haven’t damaged the connector.
