Totally confused about iMac Monitor cable Installation.

I'm dealing with trying to put a new LCD monitor on a 27" iMac. There is no where on this entire earth that shows how to hook up the power chord and the display chord up close that shows which way you turn it to go into the saddles. I don't get how iFixit works and I just don't have time to get the learning curve with all this other cable hookup madness going on. I wish you or someone could do a video that dealt with how to install the prongs on both the power chord and the display chord. Dave R
