Tip compatibility with TS80P?
Are the tips compatible with other similar soldering irons like the TS80P?

The short answer is no.
Dave from EEVBlog tested it. At 22:06 in the video: https://youtu.be/MRSP647qda4?t=1326
It seams like (I have NOT tested myself) they are the same size and shape but it is not working.
Maybe (just conjectures) not the good wiring scheme, or not the exact same size, or maybe just software restrictions (I doubt it but you never know...)

I’m not sure if the tips are compatible, but you can see the two iron’s to get a better idea how the iFixit iron compares Adam Savage’s Tested - Show and Tell: iFixit's "Smart" Soldering Iron!

Yes, I saw that and they looked somewhat similar, that's why I was asking. I have the TS80P and there are not that many tips available...
@emilerpel - Kyle answered in a different post the following:
“Yes, absolutely! We'll be selling a variety of tips at launch: Cone, Bevel 1.5, Wedge 1.5, Point, Bevel 2.6, Knife 2.5, Knife 1.4. What we're calling Wedge is essentially the chisel tip that I think you're accustomed to.”
What tip are you looking for? If none of these work for you.
@danj If possible, I would like something like the Wedge 1.5 to use with my TS80P since that style is not available for it. That's why I would like to know if the ifixit Tips are compatible with it.
Edit: I'm sure if we wait a bit someone like Marco Reps is going to try :)
