My controller is acting up

Hello, so I have this ps4 controller that's acting up. It's been through a lot since I have a baby that drops it all the time.One day I try to turn on my controller but there is no sign of life. Tried charging it, no light. After giving it a few hits on my palm, the light started flashing but didn't connect. I tried connecting it to my phone while pressing ps button and share. Even though my phone said it's connected, the light kept flashing and didn't function. After the light turned off, it didn't turn on again. I gave it a few hits and started working again and this happens every time. It doesn't even work if I connect it via a USB cable to my ps4. What could be the issue? Is it fixable? Thanks a lot

Hi!

I think it's motherboard related. It's possible that some IC is getting loose from the motherboard so you need to solder it again.

The only thing left to do is to disassemble the controller and check all the ribbon cables if they are still connected (probably they are). Then take the motherboard out and take a look at it. Maybe you can see some damage. Otherwise a motherboard replacement is required...

Hello! Thanks to you I found out that the main ic is the problem. Every time I slightly hit the ic the controller turns off and if I hit it again it starts working. I managed to solder it back and now it works like new. Thanks a ton!!!!

you could try to take a toothpick or a safety pin and insert it in the hole in the back of the middle of the controller this will reset it. if this doesn't work then you would need to take it apart and reset the connection to the battery. I would check all the ribbon cables too

This unfortunately didn't work, everytime I hit it very hard it starts working again but at a 1 inch drop it stops working. Dp u have any other suggestion? Thanks a ton
