What chip is this on an iPad Air (5th Generation)?
I ran into an issue on my iPad where it will no longer turn on. When plugged into a power source both with and without battery, it measures 5V, 0.5A and 2.5W. It sounds like a short somewhere.
I measured several capacitors and it seems to be shorts at numerous places of the logic board so it is difficult for me to pinpoint the root cause of the iPad failing to turn on. I used my thermal camera and noticed the PMIC (343S00465) was EXTREMELY hot. So I replaced it and it is still the same. But I also notice what is circled in green is also hot under the thermal camera. Does anyone know what that black chip is? Thanks!

@tfchris did you remove the shorted capacitor to see if your IC's still get hot?

@oldturkey03 Yep, turns out the cap is good. When I probed the logic board contacts after the cap removal, it was still shorted and IC is still hot.

@tfchris can you give a zoomed out version of the board, I can't tell where those chips are on the board just by the chips
