Mainboard reflow temporary fix?

Hi there, I have an issue with my LG TV. The tv shut off, with the power light flashing but the screen not turning back on. A repair man did a reflow on the mainboard. The reflow worked the first time, lasted about 4 weeks. The second time lasted around 3 months. Now the same issue again. Why is this working but only as a short term solution? TV works perfectly after each reflow, but then same issue happens again. The repair man said it is the CPU IC. Is there a way to make the reflow long lasting? He said last time he did the reflow he put it at a really high temperature(which must be why it lasted longer than the first time). He has since moved away, I have found another repairman who said he can try another reflow. Am I wasting my money?
