mac mini No hard drive

I inherited a mac mini with no hard drive, What are my options to salvage it? Can I just install a new hard drive and buy the mac operating system and just run the install disks? Any help you can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can install a hard drive. I am including a URL showing disassembly of a Mac Mini. You can purchase a hard drive from iFixit and Operating System for several sources. I would not recommend using eBay for that purpose. Good luck--take your time and enjoy the process. Ralph
