How do I fix my Xbox one connection to controllers

I've been having this problem with my Xbox one original and it staying connected with my controllers, none of my Xbox one or Xbox S/X wireless controllers will connect or stay connected to the console when at a distance of foot or so away, I've been solving this issue by keeping my controllers connected via a charger cord.

This has been a issue with my console for a while now. recently I took the console apart to clean it out and replace the thermal paste ( this is recommend for consoles around 10+ years old) and the issue has since only gotten worse. Now sometimes my controllers just won't connect at all, even when they are sitting right next to the console. I through every recommendation to make sure it wasn't the controllers, and it's not the controllers.

knowing it was in fact the console I've taken the console apart and made sure the connections between the motherboard, Wi-Fi card/chip and the RF receiver are connected and secure as recommend, I've also ruled out the possibility of the console just being to close to the router.

I'm starting to think I may have to replace either the Wi-Fi card/chip or the RF receiver or possibly both.

If this is the case, I'd also like to know if it would be possible to use the Wi-Fi card/chip and RF receiver from another Xbox One original or is there something that would prevent this?

Hi there!

I would replace the wifi board (bluetooth is also on there if I’m correct) and see how that goes.

Also replace the antenna, it could solve the issues you are having.

You can perfectly use it from another Xbox One Original, it should work fine!!
