Replaced iPad battery but now it doesn’t charge
I just finished replacing a battery on iPad (6th generation) WiFi version. Replacement went smooth as I had done it before. But now when I plug the iPad in for charging it turns on for a bit, and then it seems to “short” and turns off. When I try to leave it charging for a while the same thing happens. It’s almost as if it doesn’t want to charge at all.
Prior to replacing the battery, the only thing that would happen when I plugged it in would be the screen with the drained battery symbol and the cable diagram hinting at plugging it in to charge. After leaving it charging for a while it would never boot up past the Apple logo.
After replacing the battery I can actually unlock the iPad and mess around with a few apps before it turns off again. I am mostly asking to see if anyone has experienced this before? Did I accidentally mess up the new battery when I replaced it? I’ve looked at all other connections, and ribbons. They’re all connected how theyre supposed to be. I just don’t know if this is a battery issue or a logic board issue.
