Replacement battery not holding charge when off Power adaptor

I replaced the battery on my Mac at the end of last year with an iFixit. There were no issues and the replacement went well. I followed all the instructions on the site and was very happy with the result.

I have now started having issues with the battery staying charged and the Mac working off the power adaptor.

The battery percentage drops quickly and then the Mac will turn off after about 20 minutes. When i try turning it back on it shows that the battery is flat.

When i then plug in the power adaptor, the Mac will start but the battery will already show a high charge percentage.... it varies but between 30 - 60%

It will then stay at that percentage and then all of a sudden jump to 100%.

If I then unplug the power adaptor i get the same result.....

What I see in the CoconutBattery snapshot is a hot battery! What are you running for Apps? The charger won't charge when iti's this hot.

@david48393 - I bet you had a ton of open windows and/or tabs! Close as many as you can let the system rest a bit to cool down and take a fresh CoconutBattery snapshot posting it here again.

Taken as soon as I turned Mac on. Nothing else running

@david48393 - I'm assuming the top most is the newer. Still a bit high than would expect from a cold system (off for the night, not sleeping). What is the ambient temperature of the room? 29 C?

yes top one is more recent. System fully shut down. Probably about 26 c today. Still does not hold charge and suddenly system shuts down. Battery says 100% and then will turn off after 20mins or so. Plug in power cable and its on 30% when it starts....
