Acer GD235hz display panel damaged by water

Hello I want to fix my monitor which is an acer gd235hz, I already took it apart and removed the display panel (yes even separated it from the backlight) and seems that the bottom layer is damaged. I wonder if I could peel that off and replace it with a new film. but I don't know what is the film I need.

I can give photos of it if needed. easy fix is to replace the whole display panel but I don't really want to do that
