Is replacing the screen a good idea?

Hi I have a pixal 7 that went for a swim, after the screen started turning black from the bottom up. I can still connect to it with my pc and it seems perfectly fine even the touch works it's just the screen that doesn't display. Is it a good idea to replace the screen?
