I need help with my iPod repair?

I recently tried to fix my ipod screen on my own but it didn't work. The first time i was able to get the smaller chord plugged in but the touch screen wouldnt work. Also the lighting was a bit shady and i thought it wasn't plugged in properly. I unplugged it and have tried to replugg it but now it wont go in or it wont stay. I have no idea what to do now and i need my ipod because i plan on going on a trip and need entertainment. PLEASE HELP!!

Props for the repair attempt on your own, but this is why it is important to just pay the extra price and send it to someone with experience.

Based on what you are telling us it sounds like you either have not connected the new screen properly or the new screen was defective or damaged during install.

You also may have damaged the connectors which might be why the connector wont plug on.

thank you but do you know when i can get it fixed now? i never had the apple warranty and i need it fixed fast.
