Sony Xperia XA Troubleshooting

The Device Won’t Charge

Despite being plugged in, the device won’t charge.

Broken Charger

Attempt to charge your device with a different charger. If it charges with the other charger, then your charger is faulty.

Blocked Charging Port

Check the charging port for any debris or moisture. Debris or moisture can stop the USB connector from fitting properly and prevent charging. Wait for the port to dry and then use a small item such as a toothpick or toothbrush to gently remove any dust or lint.

System Needs a Restart

Sometimes when the phone is not functioning properly it just needs to be restarted. Press and briefly hold down the power button until a screen listing "Power off" "Restart" and "Take Screenshot" appears. Press "Restart" to restart the device.

If unable to perform a normal restart, a hard restart may be necessary. Press and hold down the power button and volume up button at the same time for 6 seconds. Then, the device will vibrate once. If you wish to force restart the device, release the buttons. If you wish to force a shutdown, continue pressing the buttons until the device vibrates three times.

The Battery is Draining Very Fast

After charging, the phone battery depletes quickly.

Software Needs to be Updated

To check for an update, go to Settings → About phone → Software update. Install any available updates.
