Power Button Broken - Gold Spring.

Hello,

Have been restoring my ipod back to its original condition (hardware) - After this the gold spring from the power button has broken off.

I cant find any reconstruction guides of this online, so i ask what would be a fix for this? (Not buying a new panel)

William Briggs, the spring connects the communications board with the power button. depending where it is broken, you could try to resolder it, or you will have to purchase an old broken iPod to harvest it.

Ohh so its only soldered on? If it is, that's ok for me to fix :) I thought it was spot welded on or something stupid :D

It is soldered. Apply some solder on the board, some on the spring and then solder the pieces together :-)
