Angel Starr, replace the Ignition Switch. It is behind the Lock Cylinder and is accessed by removing the two steering covers, and the lower trim cover. This procedure above is for dash mounted and column mounted as well. Hope this helps, good luck.

most likely the contacts in behind the key have worn this is the part that has about 5 or 6 wires coming out of it. this part can be separated from the key barrel and replaced so you can use the same key
