Lens error showing in camera's display screen

The lens has an Iris which is controlled by a motor. If the connection to it is broken you will get a lens error. You can also get the error is the camera has gotten wet.

nitin, does the lens extend all the way? It is common for these camera to give you a lens error when they are unable to extend all the way.
