Sim Slot Damaged Help?

my kid inserted the sim the wrong way and now its not even recognising the sim ,it does show signal bars and just says not registered on network ? is it the slot or is it software related .

Hi,

Probably the sim card socket connections have been damaged.

Normally this is a small sub-panel that can be replaced at little cost.

yes the connectors were twisted used ifixit tweezers to allign them properly and voila i have full signal now . thank you.
