people can not hear me when I speak

during calls people can not hear me, the problem seems to be related to the top microphone, in fact if I plug it with a finger or with the tape, the microphone works fine.

I have read so many threads and tried many remedies. I put a piece of plastic over the sound chip, and nothing has changed, I replaced the microphone bottom and nothing has changed, I've done a thickness of paper to be inserted in the middle of the cover, but nothing.

a restore could solve? However, if I perform the restore will lose the jailbreak.

what could be the causes?

also, you know, tell me what is the audio compiler in the iPhone 4S? perhaps through a photo ..

daniele, the audio IC is the CS42L63B from Cirrus Logic, location noted on the image. It is available from places like this.

daniele, I would definitely start with the simpler task, and replace the microphone. If everything else fails, then I would have the audio IC replaced.
