Can it be fixed when coffee splashed on it
Coffee spilt on my camera it's not switching on properly,can it be fixed

Hi Enock,
It might be possible to fix it. But first of all, is there still guarantee on your camera, so that you can send it to Canon? (Although I am not sure if this applies to this kind of "water damage")
Please remove the battery immediately and let the camera dry for a day or so.
In addition, it would be helpful if you can provide a bit more information, so that others might be able to contribute, too:
1. How much coffee was it?
2. Where do you think the coffee got into the camera? Battery compartment? Card slot?
3. In regard to 'switching on properly': Does the camera not switch on at all any more? What exactly happened when you tried to switch it on?

first thing to do would be to remove the battery and no longer try to turn it on. If it has not yet been shorted out, it may be if you keep trying ;-)

Enock, it all depends on where the coffee entered the camera. I strongly suggest that you do no longer try to turn it on, and remove all batteries as well. You may just have to start thinking about disassembling the camera and to clean all parts with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. The longer you wait, the more corrosion you may encounter. Use a soft brush to clean all cable end and connectors. It is a big job for a big camera. Go to this page and scroll all the way down to the heading Service Documents and click on the blue link. That will download the service manual for your camera. Not an easy job, but definitely worth doing. Hope this helps, good luck.

Too bad the linked service manual is not for de 60D but for the D60 which is an entirely different camera ;)
