got a iphone from customer who changed the battery & also the battery connectors. the is nothing showing. it was on iOS 6.0.1 but i have successfully restored to iOS 7.0.4. when i am activating this iphone by itunes it says the the is problem with this phone contact the apple. could anyone please guide me to the right directions to resolve this issue.

OK guys since y'all know your stuff I will let you know I have FINALLY just FIXED mines after oh so long, reading through all of your methods & issues, well turns out that it is a hardware over software issue so after downgrading, upgrading so many times after another as you have probably done so already, I noticed that WiFi will come and go every time I booted on the latest version iOS 7.1.2 & of course I tried to activate it since I know it was unlocked already but still iTunes came back with an error that there was something wrong with my iPhone & to take it to a service center which some of you might be familiar with already, so since I noticed that WiFi coming & going I decided to leave it on my favorite iOS 5.0.1 GeekGrade .ipsw and so happens today I tethered booted but WITHOUT SIM CARD & SIM TRAY everything came back WIFI+CELLULAR+BLUETOOTH that is what has just worked for me hope it helps anyone

The phone is probably damaged when changing the battery connectors. The baseband fails to boot so numbers aren't showing and the phone cannot be activated. Check for damage around the baseband.
