Why won't my laptop run CDs, DVDs, or other disks?
My laptop doesn't run any disks inserted into the disk drive, there is a spinning noise as if the disk is moving, but also a scratching noise.

Jesse Quisido, sounds like a bad spindle. I would definitely replace the drive. Download the service manual from here. the repair is very straight forward, Page 44 will show you how to change the drive. the drive is available for around $50 at places like ebay.com etc. Hope this helps, good luck.

The disk drive's probably dead, find a guide on ifixit to replace it. If they don't hav one, find a simmilar on and use that.

my cd wont work on my laptop..everytime i try to play something it doesnt work...yet i can burn music onto the cd but when comes to playing it nothing happens like its not there...plse help me

my computer will not play dvds i bought a dvd decoder and it still will not play dvds i need help to get my dvd player going it shows up you do not a have a compatibale dvd decoder what can i do to resolve this problem please help me
