Background
The HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx (Product number: NB252UA#ABA) is a 17.0” Diagonal WXGA+ High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1440 x 900) laptop, released in February of 2009. It has a bronze tint and significantly longer battery life, setting it apart from the other HP Pavilion laptops. The laptop also has a single long hinge to prevent the display from moving.
The HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx uses a 2.40 GHz Intel Core2 Duo Processor P8600 and has 4GB, 800MHz DDR2 of memory. It holds a 500GB 5,400rpm hard drive and operates on Windows Vista Premium (64-bit). The laptop is also equipped with a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics card.
