Will putting in a new power supply cause data to be erased?

My Xbox doesn't turn on (Original Xbox) and I suspect it needs a new power supply board. If I repair it, will the data from the hard drive still be intact? Thanks!

That is correct :-) your data will not be erased.

Thanks so much oldturkey03. Repair stores don't fix Original Xbox anymore. I purchased a version 1.0 power supply board for my Xbox on ebay (hoping that was the issue) and opened my Xbox for the first time since we purchased it back around launch time.

Using the guide on the website and a YouTube video, I was able to put the new supply board in. When taking it out, I noticed my old power supply board definitely had got a bit burnt. After I installed it and put the Xbox back together, my Xbox turned on and everything is great again. All my data is still there like old times. Thanks again for your help! I'm so happy : )
