Will Gen 2 Nexus 7 accept usb mic with OTG cable

Does anyone know if second generation Nexus 7 will accept a USB mic with or without OTG cable?

I want to Skype in a business environment. First Gen Nexus worked well but I wanted to use a better mic closer to me and avoid the roomy sound of speaking at the device's tiny awkwardly placed mic.

Never found a solution even using the OTG cable I read about.
