Screen won't turn on

Recently my tablet's display has gone blank; I can turn on the power and hear the tablet turn on, but the display stays blank.

I've tried cleaning the display and then tapping it to ensure it just isn't in sleep mode, but it didn't appear to help; still no response from the tablet

Follow these steps and you will manually boot your device:

1. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.

2. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.

3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.
