Transmission will only work in low & reverse?
88' gmc, 700r4 transmission won't shift from low to drive.fluid is good. Reverse works. Any ideas?

My truck did this also. It cost me $385 to learn that it was a fusible link in the steering column. The tranny shop ran a jumper wire/with an inline fuse to correct this problem. It is good to get a diagnostic test done prior to doing any repairs, recommend the purchase of a personal code reader (it will pay for itself quickly)!!!
