sometimes goes blank when I move the lid
when I change the position of the screen by movement of the hinges the screen will go black at some positions. When I move it back to where it was, the screen comes back on

The display cables are probably worn out, and if this is an LED display, you don't have an inverter to replace, so you'll probably have to replace the display itself. We have a screen replacement guide on the device page!

If the screen turns on or not depending on the lid position, the problem are the display cables. You'll have to replace them. Normally the have attached a sticker with the part number, so you can search the appropriate spare.
