The laptop will turn on without the battery in place. It will work without the battery or the battery can be installed and the laptop will continue to work. The battery can be fully charged after starting the unit without the battery. It seems like a hardware problem.

Rudy Schlosser, before looking at anything on the logic board etc. I would sugest a new battery. It is possible that your battery is shortening out the system. Check the connector, but ultimately a new battery would be the proper start of the trouble shooting.

I have tried a new battery. It seems to be a hardware problem. Could it be the ram?

Hi Rudy. I'm just going through same kind of problem and your comment about new battery drawn my attention. You replaced by a new battery and remains same issue? besides the model I'm talking about be different I don't see a disconection between both issues. Thanks + Rgds
