Screen won't come on
The computer powers on but the screen won't come on. What can I do?

It could be a problem with static discharge , if so do the following.
1. Disconect the power cord
2. Remove the battery
3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds , then release for 30 sec and then hold down for another 30sec
4. Plug in power ,replace battery and power on laptop.
If this causes no Joy try this.
Remove memory and reinstall one stick at a time, if there are more than 1 dimm of ram, try each stick in each slot one at a time to see if the memory is ok and to determine if one of the memory slots is bad.

Hi Jim and thanks for your attention, well i do what you tell me but nothing, only power light on, and no more activity.

@mebini Bruno was there any problems with the machine leading up to the no start condition? Do you get post beeps at all? Did the laptop get damaged in a fall or did you get it wet at all? is the power adapter jack loose at all ? When the machine is charging do you get the normal lights?is the center post of the power jack loose at all (in the laptop)? The more we know the more we can help
Hi again, well, the laptop worked fine the last time and when I tried to power it up again, no longer come up, I've tested with another power supply, the charging lights indicate that it is charging, the jack connector is ok and receive power.
I don't know what else to do!!!

have you tried hooking up to another monitor . The video onboard may be the problem
Yes i have tried, only power light is on, no noise, no cooler, nothing......!!!!!
Try increasing the brightness to max (keep pressing fn - f6 multiple times)
I had the same issue after updating the catalyst driver and it was blank until the screen brightness was at max, some driver bug.

Hi, i have the same problem, the power light comes on but no video, no fun, no noise nothing, i´ve tryed batery out, change memory, change charger but nothing, only light on.
Can someone give me some help??
