Hi guys,
We have a problem.
A customer brought an iPad 2 mini. I disassembled ipad, and I realized the touch screen connector was damaged. I removed the connector with solder iron, but one of the solder pad are missing.
what is the solution ?

This is all wrong !!! The missing pad is 5th pad !! 5 NC - no connection !!
Yellow selection is pad 6,

@fixlab excellent job in finding this. Amazingly enough it took a year for somebody to catch this error. I did correct the original answer.

@fixlab I have the same problem. The pads number 5, 15, and 17 are missing. Colud you help me with the schematic picture? Where could I connect the missing pads? Thanks!
gabor, pin 5 is nc, pin 15 is ground and 17 you can connect to the large cap to the left side of the connector. on the right side of the cap

Iphoneszerviz Szeged, correction. That is contact #5 of J1700. It does not need anything. NC no connection

@iphoneszerviz, did you manage to repair this? Can u post a pic or explain a little what you had to do exactly? We are facing a similar prblem ourselves with the exact same pad ripped off during a connector replacement

Iphoneszerviz Szeged,
try to use best or recommended rework tools when you touching high tech logic boards. Here i can see one path Path damaged on your logic board.
you have two options,
1) Change the new logic board
2) Path modification : check the path destination and you may have to connect them physically
